Wastewater System Improvements
Salene Road, Lawrence Lane, and A. Miller Road
Capital Project Number CP3246
I. Scope of Services:
A. There are currently no City wastewater services available on Salene Road, Lawrence Lane, and A. Miller Road. It is the City’s desire to provide sewer service for the residents on these streets. Due to the higher capital costs associated with conventional gravity collection systems, it is the intent of the City to provide a low pressure sewer collection system for this area.
B. Three forcemains will be designed as part of this project to allow for each home to connect to one of the forcemains via low pressure wastewater pump. One forcemain will be located on each street and will discharge into the existing manholes located at the end of each street near Big Lake Road. The wastewater pump located at each home and a small diameter forcemain from each home that would connect to the City’s new forcemains will not be designed as part of this project.
C. The Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following:
• Directional drill of 2,264 linear feet of 2” HDPE and 766 linear feet of 3” HDPE sewer forcemain.
• Directional drill 800 linear feet of 1.25” HDPE and open cut 140 LF of 1.25” HDPE lateral pipe.
• Install 50 lateral kits and service connections to new sewer forcemain.
• Coating approximately 27 vertical feet of existing manholes.
• Procurement and Furnishing of 15 E-One Grinder Stations to COLC Wastewater Department
